Not medical advice
Everything on this site, including articles, quizzes, newsletters and videos, is for general education only. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis or treatment, and it doesn't replace a visit with your own clinician. Reading this site, taking a quiz or contacting us does not create a doctor–patient relationship. That relationship begins only after you become an AnswersMD patient.

Quizzes and tools
Quizzes and other tools give general information based on your answers. They can't diagnose you or tell you what treatment you need. Talk with a clinician about your own situation.
Doctor-written and reviewed content
Articles list the clinician who wrote or reviewed them. Medicine changes, and an article reflects the information available on the date it was published or last updated.
For clinicians
The "Patients Are Asking" newsletter and its pages are written for licensed healthcare professionals as professional education. They are not a substitute for independent clinical judgment, current guidelines or product labeling.
Links to other sites
We link to AnswersMD.com and to outside sources such as journals and government sites. We're not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites.
